User groups
This page describes how to:
- Add new user groups (with user groups, you can define who will have an access to assets)
- Assign categories and configure asset category settings (defines how assets are shown in map)
- Add and edit tags (information to assets)
- Add new subcontractors to service requests
These actions are available for admin users in you organization – you can access them via ‘Organization settings’.
How to add a new user group (A)
- Enter Organization Settings in the left Navigation Panel
- Click on the User Groups section
- Enter a User Group name and select members to this group
Categories
You can add new asset categories via asset directly or under organization settings.
Assign Categories (B)
- Enter Organization Settings in the left navigation panel
- Click the Categories section
- Enter a category name and select the user group which you want to provide an access to this category
- Note! Only users in this group will be able to access assets belonging to this category.
You can also add categories via assets!
Configure a asset category
You can define how the assets belonging to a particular category are visible on the map via each asset category (enter the category list and expand the category details by clicking the ⌄-sign next the the category name).
- Edit the category name (A)
- Select the user group, whom the category is visible to (B)
- Note! Only users in this group will be able to access assets belonging to this category.
- Set Zoom level (C) – Zoom level 1 indicates visibility at maximum zoom out, while zoom level 20 indicates absolute zoom-in in order to see the asset category.
- Define whether you want to show the asset title and markers on the map (D)
- With opacity and line thickness you can define how visible the line & area assets are on the map (E). Note that if both are near zero the assets might be too invisible.
- Select an icon & a color for the asset category (F)
Tags
- You can add new tags via organization settings or via assets. Select the name and the color for the tag.
- Tip! Group your tags by giving them the same color.
Service request subcontractors
- Add subcontractors to a service request via ‘Subcontractors’
- Details which can be added to subcontractor:
- Name: will be visible in work order list
- Email: Email address where the service request is sent to
- Description: Text field – only visible in the Settings -page
