3D Structural analysis
Use the cross-section tool to cut vertically or horizontally across a region on the inspection site, and to assess the cut region in a 2-dimensional form. You can adjust the plane slider to widen the section or move its position around the cross-sectioned area.
Activate Cross section tool by clicking ‘Cross section icon’ from the toolbar, and select 2 points to form a line. Vertical cross section is created just by clicking, horizontal cross section by holding Shift while clicking. Adjust the position or width of the cross-section with the slider. Reset the positioning by clicking Reset cross-section and deactivate the tool by clicking the ‘Cross section icon’ from the toolbar again.
You can take a screenshot of cross section and download it. More info in Take Screenshot.
The wall analysis tool can be used to analyze indentations or protrusions on a wall. By selecting a reference plane, you may then use the slider to highlight abnormal regions within the reference plane.
Activate the wall analysis tool by selecting the wall analysis icon. Pick 3 points on the point cloud for a reference plane, and adjust the distance from the reference plane by moving the slider (distance shown in meters). Blue region is deeper in proximity, red surfaces are closer. Deactivate by clicking ‘wall analysis’ icon again or by pressing ESC.
Look for areas where color seems out of place to identify indentations or protrusions.
